Clamp Storage

    Hi Rob.... and everyone.

I’m in the process of setting up my new shop in Washington. I traditionally have stored my clamps hanging on the wall, one by one from left to right. Every time I see Robs clamp storage design, I feel I should go that way. Seems like a much better use of space (stacking them out from the wall). Rob, if you were doing that wall over again, would you store your clamps the same way? If so.... do you have any pictures you could post, and if not.... what would you change? Anyone else have some thoughts here? (I’m going from 1500 sq ft to 800sq ft.... so trying to use the space as best as I can.) thanks! Joseph

Joseph, one approach that works for me is clamping smaller clamps to the legs of my assembly table. Easy access and virtually no extra space needed.

Thanks Doc... a great idea, but I doubt my OCD will allow that Lol!

rolling clamping carts under my assembly table is nice. I don't have to take off across the shop if I need an additional clamp that I did not anticipate. also, if using clamps in other parts of the shop, I can just roll a cart over instead of taking several trips.
