    Hi Rob,

Just received my new WoodRiver 4 1/2 from WoodCraft (Orlando, Fl) on 3/27/18. I queried the store regarding why there wasn't a manual included and Robert referred me to a link to your article and how to sign up for for the free, three month subscription to your website. Your Smoother presentation was exponentially better than any kind of printed material that might have been included with the plane, and gave me the up front introduction I needed to set up and prepare my 4 1/2. I've been using woodworking power tools for several years but have recently taken a interest in doing it the old fashioned way so this is my first hand plane. Thank you for the excellent tutorial and the pointers on the sharpening kit.
