I'd like to see a way to rip boards down the middle of the support similar to a split top work bench that would allow for wide board support on both sides as well as better stock control through the entire cut.. Just my two cents.

I Ed, I think the best way to do that with these horses is to have the two close together and rip between them.  I was asked about a slot down the middle but I am no eager to do that.  Lets see how this plays out and maybe we will modify.

    Hi Ed,

I can share with you what I use.I have my saw bench and a saw horse that I use for glue ups n stuff. I made the saw horse where the mid support is at the same height as my shooting bench. When I am ripping, I start at the edge of the board working my way in, as I move the board forward I feedbit onto the support of my saw horse. This give me support and control all the way through the cut. I have also seen guys that built something (can’t remember what they called it). But it kinda looked like a towel rack. These guys would feed their boards onto it as they were cutting. Hope this helps.
