Hurricane Irma

Looking back over the years I have had many enjoyable hobbies throughout my life. Woodworking has been the best one I have ever had. Now with Hurricane Irma bearing down on us here in South Carolina knowing that I will have to leave behind all my work and tools is very disheartening. I would like to ask for prayers for everyone in Texas, Florida, Georgia, and here along the coast of South Carolina where Irma is expected to come ashore at. We are looking to having nothing left once it happens at Cat 4 and our high tide time frame. If this is not allowed please delete.

Absolutely allowed!  I will remember all you folks in my prayers.  Be smart as well and get out of harms way.  Keep us posted.  All the best.

    9/8/17 Orlando, Fl.

Well had a pretty full day today getting  my yard and house ready for our guest "Irma".  I live in Orlando it is just about the middle of the state so we don't usually get too much out of the Hurricanes, (not counting Charlie 12 years ago), Well  I Irma is over 400 miles across so it will cover almost the whole state at one time and its a slow mover so we will get the full punch from her. Just wanted to give a shout out to all and say if you have any extra prayers you don't know what to do with send em down Florida's way.

    Thanks,

You have mine Tom.  Just got word that Governor has removed the mandatory evac for us along the coast of South Carolina, but are to monitor in case it changes. They were expecting 20-30 foot storm surge now its down to around 10 with winds high 70's lower 80's about like what we had when we got hit with Mathew. Will keep y'all in our prayers my mother and sister live just north in Deland.

Well I need to get back just to let everyone know that Myself and my family are still alive and kicking. Irma let herself be known in a big way Sunday and especially Sunday night. We got winds at 75 MPH plus inland in Orlando. I have been through 4 or 5 Hurricanes since I moved to Florida in 1979 but by far this is the worst and longest lasting. We lost power at about midnight on Sunday and we are still without it as of this writing. I do have a generator and its been running since early Monday morning. We also have city water and so thank God the bathrooms are still in service. Damage to my property was not that bad. I will have to replace fence in the back yard and lost a couple of trees. These are all items that really make no difference. Just having all members of the family safe is the  big thing. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.
