Shaker Bench dowel jig

    Question, Would it have been easier and more accurate to drill the hole perpendicular and plane the bottom of the jig to sit at 10 degrees? Or would that have caused a clamping issue?

    In my opinion. I would do it the same way, then I could fine tune just like was done here. But I guess you're idea would work as well. Also, it depends on how much material you actually want to remove. And I think it would be harder if you are a little off in both directions.
