Rob what would you use to sharpen the small teeth at the front of your saws and how could I cut some into saws that I already own?

Bit of a pain, you have to take the existing teeth down first so your tooth line will no longer be straight.  The front end where you are going to put the small teeth will be sloped up.  I use a 4"dbl X slim taper file, on those teeth I hold the top of the triangular file flat so the cutting face of the tooth is very negative in slope.  Not an easy thing to do and you might not want to go at a good saw.  To have it correct, the top of each tooth, front to back, should be the same height.  cheers
