    See Man Box, Episode 22, @ 27:50

RULE #1 - Never put your hand (or any other body part you don't want to loose) in front of a sharp tool.

** Flag on the play!  Rob uses a sharp plane blade to score the drawer back workpiece with his hand directly in front of the line of force, not to mention in very close proximity and in a slightly awkward position.  One of those " hold my beer and watch this " operations.

    Carry on.

And that Larry is why one must always have a ready supply of paper towels and blue tape on hand....:-)

So I'm not the only one that saw that. I just knew it was going to be another "Jointer thumb" episode. I guess even the greats have moments of "That was close".

It'll be alright!!! Just make sure the blades is super sharp. That way you don't have to use too much force, and maintain control. Also with a super sharp blade, it'll make a nice clean cut so it's easier to put in the stitches.

There are two things I keep around all the time.  I have super glue and pepper.

Super glue I have used to close up cuts that I probably should have gone to the doctor for a couple stitches. The pepper gives something for the blood to clot to, similar to QuikClot that the Army used while I was enlisted.
